Who I am
This site is run by Mike Slaiter, trading as The Goodbye Words, Taunton, Somerset, UK. Contact: hello@whatdoisay.co.uk. I am the data controller for the small amount of information described below.
What I collect, and why
- The free Pocket Three Card. To get the free card you give me your email address. I store it with the name of what you asked for. The card downloads straight away, I send a copy to that address, and after that I email you only when a new pack is ready. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- Buying a pack. Checkout is run by Payhip, who sell the pack on my behalf and handle the payment and any VAT. I receive your name, email and what you bought, so I can deliver the download and handle refunds. I never see your card details.
- Server logs. Like every website, the server records basic visit information (such as IP address, browser type and pages visited) to keep the site working and secure, and to count downloads. These logs are not used to identify you.
Cookies
This site does not set cookies for tracking or advertising. Payhip may set cookies on its own checkout page, which are covered by Payhip's privacy policy.
Legal basis
Free card emails: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Purchases: to fulfil the contract with you, and to meet tax and accounting rules. Server logs: legitimate interest in running a safe, working website.
How long I keep it
Free card email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete them. Purchase records are kept for six years for tax purposes. Server logs are kept for up to 90 days.
Who else sees it
Payhip (checkout and payments), the email service I use to send the card, and my web host (to run the server). I never sell, rent or share your information with anyone else.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete what I hold about you, or object to how it is used. Email hello@whatdoisay.co.uk. If you are unhappy with my answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
